The Birthday Princess...3 years old!

Happy Birthday, Sophie! Our little one turned 3, & to celebrate, we had a little party with a bunch of her friends over. Her requirements for the party were these: 1-For it to be a "Princess party" & she wear a princess dress, 2-That she have her own balloon (the kind that floats), & 3-That she have a pink cake. I said, "Can do!" You could tell it was Justin & Lauren's first time putting on a party for little ones (the games were a bit messy), but all in all, it turned out well, I think. I realized that its hard to help control the games, cake, & such & take pictures at teh same time. So, thank you to all the moms who jumped up & helped us out! Later in the day, we let Sophie open up some family gifts & we took her out for ice cream (thanks to her great-grandad!). Here are some photos of the fun we had that day. (WARNING-there's a lot! PLus a couple videos!)

Daddy did a great job with the decorations (Mama was sick that night)

We had a bean bag toss...
...pin the tail on the dragon
...fun with toys
...& fishing for the frog prince (a fan fav).
The toys & goodies were fun (even if the baggies didn't work out last minute! yikes!).
We had lots of fun at the playground witht eh whole gang. Yes, we said FUN...I promise! :)
I love this silly Sophie grin! She was so tickled that people were singing to HER!
Here's the pink cake Mama made.
Daddy is the best! He took the day off of work just to play with us & help out with the party.
All the cake & juice fun at the playground.
The kids discovered the rope swing our neighbors put up & had a blast.
We were pretty impressed by Sophie!
Opening up all the gifts (Abel quite likes me...its cute!)
We loved all the fun cards!
Sophie can't stop playing with her princess dolls!
Ooohs & Aaahh's at all the princess gear she got!
She is such a little girl, & by her own choosing, I promise! (It's quite fun.) :)
Poor Charlie got sticker attacked (we couldn't get a shot of ALL the stickers).
Wall-E & Eve!!!! (She loves this movie!)
A PRINCESS Leapster game?! No way!
And thus the playing began... I'm just glad it teaches her letter writing & other skills!
opening up family gifts
Sophie loves her new diaper bag that she carries around.
She tries to feed Charlie the fake baby food.
So much fun!
Sophie was so excited to watch her Barbie Swan Lake movie that night.
Just call us the Blue Family. :)

Just to show our gratitude. I don't know why we asked her to say it again, because it was perfect the first time...you get the idea! :)
